Simply Beds makes getting the right mattress (for your body and sleeping patterns) simple and affordable. Rather than wasting time and money dealing with salespeople at retail stores (who often know very little about the mattresses they sell, and almost always artificially inflate the prices so they can offer supposed half price sales), now you can talk directly with the experts who make your mattress, and get a fair, affordable price every day.
Our Mattresses, Prices, and Advice Are Better Because…
We Make Them: Which means we know exactly what goes into each mattress (every spring and stitch), and exactly how they’re made.

Save Up To 70% Wholesale: When you buy from a retail store, you’re paying an import margin, a wholesale margin, and a retail margin. And most of the time, you’re being ripped off with an artificially inflated price and a fake discount. At Simply Beds, you save up to 70% because you
get your mattress straight from our family factory at a genuine wholesale price.

Premium Australian Dunlop Foam: While other brands compromise quality with inferior imported foam, we stick with a trusted Australian brand that has been providing superior, more durable foam for over 80 years.

Extra Support: We engineer our mattresses with stronger internal reinforcing, so they last longer and provide better comfort and support right to the very edge.

Expert Advice: Speak with an expert Mattress Technician (not a commission salesperson) who has
experience working in our factory [Photo of Steve or Sam at sewing machine]

120-Night No-Risk Sleep Trial: Buy with confidence, knowing you can try your new mattress in your own home for 120 nights risk-free.

If it’s not perfect, we’ll swap it for another mattress or refund your purchase price in full.

Up to 10-Year Warranty: Don’t get the run-around from retailers. Deal directly with the people who make your mattress.

Which Of These Common Questions And Concerns Do You Have About Buying A New Mattress
A new mattress can change your sleep (and life) for the better, ridding you of annoying aches and pains, restoring all-day energy, and giving you the mental focus and health to live a longer, more successful life. But the wrong mattress can cause sleepless nights, debilitating back, hip and shoulder pain, and brain fog that steals your focus.

Whether you’re planning to pay $250 or $2,500 on your new mattress, you probably have some questions and concerns including…

Worried your new mattress will be uncomfortable?
This is a common concern that prevents many people from getting a new mattress, and compels them to put up with their current, uncomfortable mattress for way longer than is healthy, concluding, “Better the devil you know.” Not only is this robbing them of the rejuvenating sleep they need to be fit and happy, it could be the source of many long-term (and very serious) health concerns.

That’s why our experienced Mattress Technicians take time to understand your body type and sleeping patterns and recommend the right mattress for you. That’s right — Mattress
Technicians’ not ‘commission salespeople’. Unlike staff at other retail stores who know little about the mattresses they sell, and too often steer you towards a more expensive mattress with a higher commission, our team members have hands-on experience making mattresses in our Brisbane factory. They know the ins and outs of our entire [number] 1mattress range.

And will find the perfect mattress for you. For further confidence, you can take your mattress home and try it for 120 nights (yes, a full 4 months). If you have any doubts, you won’t get the run around. Simply talk directly with the owners (Steve and Sam) and we’ll swap your mattress or refund your money in full.

Afraid you’ll pay more than you need to?
Mattress pricing is a wrought. Not only do many retailers inflate the price so they can offer a fake discount (yes, those supposed 50% off sales), manufacturers supply those retail stores with the exact same mattress with different names so you can’t compare.

There are no gimmicks at Simply Beds. Every mattress in our range is priced fairly and according to quality. If one of our mattresses costs more, you can be sure it contains a greater quantity of a higher quality material (e.g. foam). And every mattress – from our $[amount] Single Size, right through to our $[amount] King Size, is offered at a genuine wholesale price.

Concerned your new mattress won’t last?
Whether you spend $250 or $2,500, buying a new mattress is a significant investment.

So you want it to last.

We’ve handmade more than 30000 mattresses in our Brisbane factory since 2003. That’s why we confidently offer genuine warranties of 5–10 years, depending on the mattress you choose.

And unlike retail stores that give you the run around with excuse after excuse, or stores
that disappear and reopen under a different name to avoid warranty claims, we stand behind our products and are glad for you to have direct contact with the owners (Steve and Sam).

Worried your new mattress will sag in the middle or edges?
The truth is, all mattresses will change shape (to varying degrees) over time. The first part of change is the quilting. So, if you fall in love with a mattress that feels soft and fluffy in another retail store, chances are it will feel flat at home after a few short months. That’s why we don’t putting excess padding in our quilting (we don’t want our customers to feel mislead or disappointed). The next part to
change is the foam comfort layers. This is especially prevalent in pillow top mattresses with multiple layers of foam. We use high quality (i.e. higher density – yet still soft) foam in our pillow top mattresses to slow this process. To avoid body impressions, so your mattress lasts twice as long, we
recommend a double-sided mattress that can be flipped.

Worried your new mattress will be hot?
Soft mattresses that envelop your body will always tend to be a little hotter (but this is subjective). This is especially true for mattresses that have memory foam. That’s why we choose memory foam that is injected with gel particles. Although Gel Foam feels very
similar to Memory Foam, increased air-flow around the gel particles makes for a
cooler sleeping surface.

Concerned about motion transfer?
Although comfortable and long-lasting, traditional bonnel spring mattresses can feel a little ‘bouncy’ because the springs are connected across the mattress. Some people like this lively feel. If you prefer a more ‘static’ feel, you may like a mattress with pocket springs. Pocket springs are isolated in individual pockets, which minimise movement across the bed. A natural latex mattress also offers a static feel with minimal partner disturbance.

Worried about off-gassing?
Not all foams are the same. Some foams are known to emit toxic fumes and an unpleasant odour. Stores that import mattresses have little control over the foam that goes into their mattresses.

We use quality, Australian Dunlop foam that does not emit fumes or odours.

Confused by all the options?
Researching mattress options can be confusing. Should you get a pillow top mattress or a double-sided mattress you can flip? Should you get standard foam, memory foam or gel foam? What about including latex layers in your mattress or choosing a mattress that is made completely from latex? And should you get synthetic or natural latex?

Unfortunately, many retail salespeople don’t know what’s inside the mattresses they sell and can’t answer your questions. Our Mattress Technicians have the knowledge, experience, and genuine desire to give you the information you need to choose a mattress you’ll love.

Worried about getting your mattress home?
Many online stores now offer a mattress in a box. This can save on transport costs because the mattress can be couriered to your door or may even fit in the boot of your car. While convenient, this style of mattress has limitations. For example, it’s not possible to compress side supports into a boxed mattress. Side supports provide a stable surface right to the edge of your mattress.

Without them, the edge of your mattress will sag, making it difficult to sleep near the edge or sit on the side of your bed.

To overcome this, our boxed mattresses have heavy-duty springs at the edges to provide extra support.

Afraid your mattress supplier may not be around for the long term?
The mattress industry is notorious for having stores that come and go. This makes it difficult to get ongoing support – especially where warranties are concerned.

Simply Beds has been hand making mattresses in our Brisbane factory and selling
direct to customers and wholesale prices since 2025.

So far, we’ve made [number] mattresses. And we’re just getting started!

Uncertain who is behind the store you’ve buying from?
Most mattress stores are merely shopfronts for large, faceless companies with high
staff turnover. So it’s almost impossible to speak with the same person twice.

Simply Beds was founded in 2003 by brothers Steve and Sam. They still own and actively work in the business today. Most of their staff have been with them for up to 19 years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the right mattress depends on your sleeping position:

  • Side sleepers need a mattress with pressure relief for shoulders and hips, like hybrid mattresses.  Hybrid mattresses means combination of springs and padding.
  • Back sleepers benefit from medium-firm mattresses that support spinal alignment.
  • Stomach sleepers should look for firmer mattresses to prevent sinking.
  • Combination sleepers often prefer hybrid mattresses that balance comfort and support.

Visit our store or speak with our sleep experts to find the perfect fit for your sleeping style.

Each mattress type offers unique benefits:

  • Memory foam molds to your body, providing excellent pressure relief and motion isolation.  Maybe a little hot for Queensland.
  • Latex mattresses are natural, durable, and breathable, offering a bouncier feel.
  • Innerspring mattresses provide a traditional feel with strong support and better airflow.
Consider hybrids for a combination of these benefits. Let our mattress experts guide you to the best choice for your needs.

Most mattresses should be replaced every 7–10 years, but this depends on the material and usage. Signs you need a new mattress include:

  • Visible sagging or lumps.
  • Waking up with aches and pains or poor sleep quality.
  • Increased allergies due to dust mite buildup.
