Spinal Sensor is a 3 zoned Bonnell spring soft pillow top mattress. Bonnell springs are a firmer spring system hence it is designed to provide a firm support for the body. The Centre third of the mattress has extra firm springs to provide extra support for the back. These springs have special edge wire along the perimeter of the mattress with butterfly spring edge support which gives extra support along the edges, so when you sit on the mattress, it does not collapse under your weight. If the sides collapse, it can cause a person to slide down whilst sitting on the side to get in and out of the bed. The side supports allows a person to sleep right to the edge of the mattress so you can utilise the full sleeping area. Generally, imported mattresses or mattresses that come in a box do not come with any of these supports hence they are cheaper. The side supports also provide the stability in the mattress.
